Our little family (Howard, David, Andrine, Chira, Tasche, and me) went to the beach this weekend and I found it very reviving. I took walks along the shore and breathed in the salt air. On Saturday I took a couple of walks and needed a nap after each. On Sunday, however, I felt a shift in my energy. David and I walked into town and had an over-priced beverage at a fashionable cafĂ©, then walked back and I didn’t need a nap afterwards. My energy held. I sort of felt like my normal self. I didn’t feel hopelessly frail anymore.
The sojourn was all too short. It seemed to mark a turning point for me, though. The nice thing is that I’ll be going to the beach again with my yoga class this next weekend. I haven’t been to the beach in such a long time and then I get to go two weekends in a row.
